The programme of the Student Conference (10th/11th/12th May) is now online. The Student Conference will be divided into 6 panels, for a total of 28 participants:
10th May
Panel 1: Struggling for Identity and Recognition (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
Panel 2: War and International Conflicts (4.15 p.m. – 5-45 p.m.)
11th May
Panel 3: Recognition through Symbols (2 p.m.- 4 p.m.)
Panel 4: Space and Recognition in Polycentric Systems (4.15 p.m. – 6 p.m.)
12th May
Panel 5: Thinking History: Narratives and Historiographies (1.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.)
Panel 6: Informal Ways of Recognition through History (3.45 p.m. – 5.45 p.m.)
On 1oth May, at 6 p.m., Prof. Pieter Judson (European University Institute, Florence) will hold a keynote lecture entitled: “Between Clash and Recognition there is Situation and Indifference: Rethinking Historical Subjects in Europe’s Long Nineteenth Century”
On 12th May, at 6 p.m., Prof. John Foot (University of Bristol, UK), will hold a keynote lecture entitled: “Violence, Justice and Truth. The ‘Show Trials’ of the 1920’s and the Fascist Version of History”
